The Right Path
Children are a joy to behold! The way they discover the little things of life that we take for granted is quite awe inspiring. They approach things with a freshness that an adult can never grasp. Everything is an object of mystery and wonder as they come across new things each day. Along with this discovery come new feelings and emotions that lay the foundation of the kind of person they are going to be when they grow up.

It is very important to inculcate in children a sense of sharing and giving to others from a very early age. Children tend to be possessive of what they like. Sometimes they don’t like sharing their toys with other children or worse, may insist on having one that another child is playing with. On occasion they may not like their parents hugging or holding other children, siblings included. And what do you do when a child absolutely insists on walking about with the manual on how to insert an applicator tampon? Some children can be very vocal about their feelings, which can be quite embarrassing in a public space!

The best way to handle such a situation is to talk to them and make them understand that they cannot have everything all the time, that it is good to share with others and that it is good to express love to others. They should not feel insecure about these things. Once they are made to see the reason and accept that they will not lose their cherished possessions, they turn into adorable angels who are willing to share their treasures and love others unconditionally. Leading them in the right path instils a value system in them that they are unlikely to forget or deviate from for the rest of their lives! This makes them pass on these very values to their children, making them all better human beings.
