Sustainable Development – Every Parent’s Duty
I have decided that the next car that I will buy will be one of the numerous hybrid cars uk vehicles are available in the market. I will have to dig deep into my savings to make such a purchase. However, I have decided that my kids are worth the extra effort that I will have to make to pay the loan on time.
I realize that my life on this plant is not just to enjoy its bounties and benefits. I also have responsibility to hand over the planet in good shape to my next generation. It would have been easier for me to ignore my responsibilities if the next generation was a nameless and faceless entity. However, when I find my son and daughter making grand plans for the future, I feel very scared about the fact that I have over exploited the planet.
I realize that giving up development and going back to the old life without any automobiles or machines does not make sense. However, it is very important to strike the right balance and choose a solution that lets me enjoy my life with reasonable comfort and yet keeps the planet in good shape for the next generation.
Each and every parent should make a promise that he or she would promote sustainable development. After all, what is the use of leading a comfortable life if your children are going to hate the fact that they were even born. Surely this is not the legacy that we want to pass on to our children, right?
