Some men must be forced to be fathers
When people think of Paternity testing they automatically think that the mother of the child has slept with many different men and has no idea who the father of her child is. This is sometimes not the case. There are some cases where the father does not believe the mother and requires there to be paternity test before he will take care of the child. Sadly, there are many men who will not claim their own children until a test has been performed by someone working locum jobs for doctors.
The men sometimes have no real reason for the denial other than they do not want or are not ready to be a father. The children should not have to suffer because the father is not ready to grow up and take responsibility for his actions. Often times the mother will have to go to the court and petition for a paternity test to be performed. The court will then order the man to take the paternity test. If the man is found to be the father the courts will almost immediately try to set up child support and arrange for visitation through a custody hearing. If a man does not pay his child support he can be incarcerated.
Paternity tests prove without a shadow of a doubt if someone is biologically related. A man can not deny the results of the paternity test because it is 99.98% accurate. It is sad that a man sometimes must be forced to take care of his own child because of his own selfishness. There are some men that never require a test and will take care of a child just because they love it. These men are few and far between. There need to be more men to step up and be fathers to their children so that the children can grow up feeling loved.
