Cooking Party For Kids

There are many simple and fun kid’s activities. One great option is having a cooking party. Choose a couple of easy kid-friendly recipes that children can have a big part in helping you make. This will give them entertainment, they will be learning a skill, and they can feel great when the family compliments them on their work! I would however keep them away from your designer kitchen accessories…
One option is pizza night. Instead of getting delivery, consider making the pizza at home and making it into an activity for your child. If you make the dough from scratch or buy it, allow the child to knead the dough and try and form a circle for the pizza. This is a great job for them because it doesn’t have to be perfect and they will love working with their hands. Consider having many different toppings in bowls to choose from. Allow the child to “decorate”the pizza with the toppings. This will be a great hit with the family and will give the child a sense of accomplishment.
Another option to consider for a cooking party would be something that does not require the oven such as a smoothie. Smoothies are a great healthy snack option. Provide the child with many different fruits and vegetables chopped up to choose from. They will have fun picking out items and putting them into the blender. Then of course comes the loud part - the blending. They are sure to get a kick out of pushing the button!
When looking for fun kid’s activities, look no further than your kitchen for inspiration. From pizza night, to smoothie snacks, to ice cream socials, the options are endless. Allowing children to contribute in this way will fill them with pride as they see the family eat or drink their creations.
